Bush and Colonial Furniture Courses

A vast array of artefacts - from early settlement days these are used to assist our story telling sessions.

Flint and Steel - this display is demonstrated during our story telling of the hardships encounted on the land and at settlements.

Candle making - using the traditional beef fat the process of making candles is demonstrated with a story of why candles could not be made in bulk.

Settlers and their Tools – using tools of the mid 1800’s. we show how the “new chums” settled this country. With very basic tools we demonstrate how he carved and engineered many of the items needed in the home and on the farm.

Bush Furniture - see bush furniture being made using a shave horse and draw knife

Bush furniture courses - we conduct bush furniture courses for those that want to make their own bush furniture.
